42.7% of children in Islington live in poverty (End Child Poverty Coalition). We don't think anyone in our neighbourhood should go hungry.
Islington’s food banks are massively over-subscribed. We asked what we could do to help.
They said, “open another food bank”. So, you guessed it, we set up a food bank.

The ARC Foodbank provides food packages to those in our neighbourhood who can’t afford to buy food, giving people simple and nutritious food when they need it most. The boxes feature healthy essentials, with plenty of fresh produce, wholefood ingredients and store cupboard ingredients. We combine bulk orders of essentials with food donations from Food Bank AID, The Felix Project, City Harvest and other local partners.
The boxes feature healthy essentials, enough food for 3-4 days' meals.

How can I help?

Support with a Recurring or One-Off Donation

Volunteer with us!

We need volunteers to help us run the food bank. From delivering food packages to fundraising to sorting out the donations, there’s a role for everyone. No food bank experience necessary. Let us know about any skills you could possibly contribute as we’re sure we’ll be able to find a use for them!

Donate Physical Goods

We also accept a small amount of physical goods:

  1. Non-perishable whole foods such as pasta, rice, and tins.

  2. Unopened hygiene products eg, shampoo, shower gel and toothpaste.

  3. We cannot accept baby formula donations.

  4. We buy a lot of fresh food, with financial donations helping to cover the cost. Please see below or click the orange “Donate” button on the left.

Please drop goods off between 8am - 3pm any day at ARC Coffee Shop, and we will take them across to the food bank for sorting and distribution.

Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to accept donations of clothing (as much as we'd love to!)
We'd like to direct you to Merry-go-round if you have clothing to donate as they will certainly put this to excellent use in the community.

Donate a Box

We rely on donations to fill our food boxes with nutritious, delicious food. This means that we can order our food in bulk from suppliers and do not rely solely on food donations. We do this because:

  1. It keeps our service reliable, and reliably healthy

  2. It means our food is always of the highest quality

  3. It means that we can feed more people better food for less money
